Hi Garth,

This is the situation regarding the report you want to do for your IC items by location:

The Sales History data in IC (ie the 12 sales periods, YTD, LY) is only statistics and does not maintain information such as which location was used. Therefore, you cannot use the LY and YTD fields by location. You must decide if this info is really important to you.

The Qty on Hand, S/O, and P/O is very easy to get for each location. Using Quik Reports for Windows, you can either have the item information per location listed in separate rows or columns depending on how you want the report to look.

IC Transaction History maintains dates for shipments, but does not have locations, so you cannot use this file for Sales reporting by location.

You definitely can use Softrak Sales Analysis to track items shipped by location for YTD or LY (or any date range you wish). Of course you would be starting the creation of the data now, and likely do not have invoices from 2 years ago still in OE to retrieve. The drawback here is that your report may not have enough data until it has been in use for a while.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'Historical and Ccurrent' info. Softrak Sales Analysis will maintain sales data from the time you run OE Day End until the time you choose to clear it.

The easiest solution for now is to create a report that has your QTY by Location information for your 4 different locations, and have the LY and YTD sales info for each item, regardless of location. This is a fairly simple report to do using Quik Reports for Windows. If you require the sales by location on your report in addition to quantites, then you will need Sales Analysis to maintain that data, as IC does not do this, and though OE Orders and Invoices do, this information is cleared when you purge old Invoices during the OE Day End function.

We can't provide help on how to do this report using Report Master, as this is not one of our products (it is a product of Softline aka Accpac Options).

Regards,
Softrak Support

Is there a way to transfer data from Sales/Invoice History to Sales Analysis?

Hi Lars

Sales Analysis integrates with ACCPAC Plus and ACCESS products. The only requirements are that you have OE and/or QIP and AR installed initially.

If you are speaking of the Softline/AO product "Invoice History", then there is an option to "Scan" Sales data into Sales Analysis from that product already on the menu option. To get there, from the main SR menu, select:

3. Maintain Sales Analysis Data
1. Retrieve Sales Data
4. Scan Sales Data from Other Systems
4. Scan Softline's Invoice History

The "scan" option will allow you to pull in data based on either or both of a Customer Range and Date Range. I am not familiar with the product, but if you actually retain the history, you should be able to scan in everything that is there from start date to current date.

If you have the product installed before you install Sales Analysis, (ie install SR after IH) it should allow the Scan menu option for IH to be enabled.

Hope this helps.
Regards
