My Adagio unMouse Pad says to use Ctrl-Tab to "flip to next index tab or window within the application". Wouldn't that be the easiest way to look for hidden windows?

It would be if it worked, but it doesn't. For some reason, the "merging posted transactions" box doesn't disappear after it is done, and the box saying that posting is complete (which requires you to click or enter on OK) is hidden underneath.

Yes, it does, but it's not consistently repeatable, and only happens in some environments, so it's hard to say whether the bug is in Windows or Adagio. We have checked the code and it is doing everything it's supposed to to have the progress bar removed from the screen when the "posting complete" message is displayed.

We're continuing to experiment with other apporaches (since it's not likely Microsoft will change anything). My guess is that one day this problem will disappear without us being able to say specifically what changed in order to fix the problem.

At least now we can suggest to users to look for the hidden screen. That's preferable to them killing the task.

I just experienced this same problem after using Ledger 9 for 3 months without an issue. Knowing that the 'Posting complete' is next I just pressed the 'Enter' key. The next step was also hidden, which is to print the posting journal, so again I pressed the 'Enter' key to select the default option. When the posting journal finished printing the 'Purge' function was also hidden. Again pressing the 'Enter' key selected the default option and the 'Merge progress screen' finally went away.

Thankfully Adagio is completely keyboard driven.

As a safeguard refrain from "multi tasking" when posting in the G/L.

That is, once you select the Post Function leave your computer alone and let the task finish. It seldom takes very long to complete.
