Dear Gerard

This is just the way Adagio and it's predecessor QIWIN works. This allows for fractional quantities, even if this is not required. This is for invoice entry.

There is no option to toggle this feature on/off in the product.

If you want to print your quantity without decimal places on your invoices, you can edit the field properties and set the number of decimal places to zero. Thus you can get simply '6' to print, rather than '6.00'. Edit your specification and select the field, then right-click and choose Properties. There is a field for Number of Decimal places, which you can edit to your choosing.

I will send a suggestion in to R&D to see if they can implement a toggle of some kind in the future. Thanks for your continued support and interest in our products - your input helps us to create a better product!

Hello again Gerard!

This issue should not be relevant to a particular version of Adagio Invoices.

I have just tried this using sample data with the currently shipping version - you are correct! Without going into the details of everything I tested, it is sufficient to say that there is a problem and we will be reporting this to R&D.

One more thing you might try is to remove the fields on your spec and replace them with the same ones, then change the properties to have 0 decimal places again, then save your spec.

I have not tried this here yet, as I have spent over an hour on this now, and have calls piling up in the queue.

Thank you for finding this for us, Gerard.

Please keep us posted on any other findings.

Hi Gerard

I wanted to update you on this issue. Although there still is a problem, I think I may have a more workable solution for you.

You can change your default configuration for your items in Invoices by editing the items to NOT have any decimal places in them for quantities. Although there is no ?toggle? to do this, you simply put in a whole number for the quantities and IN will accept this.

This should give the Designer a consistent field to work with, rather than a conflict because the actual item is consistent with what you are telling the spec code field properties to do with it.

Hope this helps!

Hi Gerard

To edit the items -

1. Archive any existing invoice batches.
2. Select Edit - Items from the main IN toolbar.
3. Select the item and in the Ordered, Shipped & Backordered fields, and enter a whole number instead of one that has 2 decimal places. (If you do not display one of these fields in your invoice entry screen, then while you are in the Edit Item area, you will have to visit the Item's Options and check those boxes to be able to change their defaults first, then go back and toggle them off again.)

Regards,
