I was attempting to send emails with adagio and the any program i use crash when i try to send an email

please help!

Please provide more information:

-What form were you trying to e-mail? (ie. AR Statement)
-What version of the module? (ie. 8.1 (070601))
-What is the error message?
-At which stage in the process does it occur?
-What happens exactly?
-Does it happen everytime?
-Did e-mailing work before?
-If so, has anything changed on your computer?
-Are you e-mailing from the same computer where you defined the e-mail settings?

The issue that Lesterf is addressing: We use the Email Queue to send Invoices. When we first starting using this feature, we would flag 10-25 emails at a time and click Send. The emails were processed very quickly.
More recently, the sending of the emails have slowed down considerably. The emails do go through, but now it processes the job 3 or 4 times slower.
Question: Are there any settings in Adagio that we should review regarding this, or is this something that our IT folks should checkout?

Well, the questions Bruce asks are still valid.

Sudden changes in processing speed are often caused by new antivirus software. Look there.

Also, MAPI will usually be slower than Direct.

Try going to Email, Email Setup and check the box for "Server Requires Authentication". See if that helps.
