You probably could get a better answer if you posted this question on www.pluscommunity.com, as support for the complete Accpac Plus line is handled there. This forum is really only intended for Softrak product questions, of which Inventory Control is not one.

The 'waiting to obtain access' message would appear when one or more program resources are in use by another user, or if a program resource did not shut down properly.

Are there any other users working in Accpac Plus at the time? If so, get each one to bring up the WSM window. It's possible that someone minimized the DOS screen before IC completely opened, preventing the ICSIGNON resource from being released properly.
