I tried installing the AL 9.0 upgrade. I got to the part where it asked did I want to replace 8.1A I believe I said yes here, but then it asked me another question about keeping 8.1 and to this question I said yes. It seemed like everything finished, but I don't see the upgrade. Did it put it out there somewhere else and I need a new ICON on my desktop? Or did I not install it and need to try it again?

Hi Jeaneane,

Adagio Ledger 9.0A installs to a new location - \softrak\ledger instead of \softral\alwin. A shortcut could have been created on the desktop and/or the Windows Start menu, and the picture for the shortcut icon has changed.

If you don't have a shortcut on the desktop, you can create a new one - making sure that it points to the program \softrak\ledger\ledger.exe and the Start In path of \softrak\ledger. You could confirm that you have this directory created, to see if the upgrade was installed successfully.

Before you start Ledger 9.0A for the first time, you should be aware that a conversion of your data takes place. If you haven't had a chance yet, make sure you see the Release Notes to see all the changes and considerations.

I do have the 9.0 icon available. When I try to open it, it reads "The g/l data is not compatible with this version of Adagio Ledger. Do you wish to convert this data?"

So is all I need to do now is say yes to that question?

Only if you want to use General Ledger V9.0A!
