My client is using Cart32, a web store, for receiving orders.

Most of the orders are from one-time customers with credit card orders (although they occasionally receive orders from existing Customers).

We would like to export the information from the web store and import it into Adagio O/E.

Our problem: There is no Cust# on their web store. Is there any way to import the data into Adagio O/E (and A/R), and after the fact create the Customer & then apply the Cust#?

Setup an OE Order import template with the Cust# as a default.

I tried this, but the Import does not accept this.

I went to the Field Defaults tab in Import Orders & selected Hdr-Customer Number. I entered the value.
But we recieve an error: Hdr-Customer Number field needs to be defined before importing can proceed. Please select it as an import field.

The only other suggestion I can make is to either look at integrating your web store with Bravo Software's Remote Desk or creating a Visual Basic macro that adds a valide customer number to your import file.

OK.

I might try the following: Export the webstore order to a csv or Excel format, then write a small routine in Access to manipulate the data and prompt the user to create a Customer #. (I am very familiar with Access, but not that strong in VB.)

We would then get Access to export the info in a format that Adagio is happy with.

I hope that I can make this work.
