Hi Zarish,

Does the problem have to do with actually sending the print job to the printer, or is it simply in the process of compiling the data? The way to determine this is instead of having the System Manager print to a printer, have it print to a file and/or to the screen. This takes the printer and connections out of the equation.

Should this speed up the process, that means that there are some printer settings or connections that are not set up just right, and Quik Reports is not part of the problem. I'm not a printer expert, but there are some settings for the printer such as Time Outs, or perhaps a faulty cable.

If this doesn't help the speed, that means that something within the report or the system is slowing things down. Make sure that you have as much free conventional memory as possible on each workstation; 530K minimum and more for complicated reports. You may also have to edit the links of the report if it contains information from many diferent programs.

Pressing escape is a feature to simply show information that has already been compiled, so you don't have to wait until the report is completed to see if it's working. This is usually helpful mostly when reports are being written.
