Thanks for the reply. I always like more information than less, so feel free to be as verbose as you are able.

I found both files and altered them to read r:\asp. This is not a problem because I can control the workstation drive mappings to insure R:\ is pointed to:
\\017400\d\program files\accpac\
of which
..\asp is a subdirectory.

I now get the following error:
Caution: signon failed

I even tried to go into a new data directory. This time it asked me for the location of the currency files and another type of file I cannot remember, and it already had r:\asp as the default choice. That attempt also failed with:
Caution: signon failed

Both modules abend in this manner.
Any thoughts?
