This is an error we know about, and it seems to only exist for Inventory; other apps I've looked at work OK.

I can tell you that we are working on a service pack for Inventory and I've seen that this issue has been addressed.

In the mean time, you can import the sale date fields - if you are importing from an Excel file, copy/paste cells is very useful in setting this up. Or if this is a CSV file, edit the file with Word and use the Replace All function to insert the sale dates at the end of each record.
