Please be advised that Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently experiencing an operational issue affecting Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) in the Canada-Central (CA-CENTRAL-1) region.
As of Aug 12, 3:23 AM PDT, AWS has confirmed connectivity issues impacting a subset of EC2 instances and EBS volumes in a single Availability Zone (cac1-az1) due to a power-related issue. This incident is also causing increased error rates and latencies in other AWS services.
AWS engineers are actively working to restore service.
We will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates as they become available.
