A client wants to have a field that's recorded on a Customer Shipto record print on an order form. Right now the only way that can happen is if the field is one that populates on the order itself when the Shipto code is selected for the order. For example - ShipVia, Salesperson, Terms, Tax Group.

However, they can't use those fields because they have finder tables. The only fields that populate an order that are: a) not a table, b) not a specially formatted field (like the phone number or DUNS number) or c) part of the address itself are FOB and Contact Name. Unfortunately, they are both being used already by this client.

One solution would be to have Optional Fields at the Shipto level in Receivables and OrderEntry (and Invoices); in fact, that's the ideal solution.

Another solution would be for Softrak to add OE spec fields for Contact/Shipto fields themselves, even if they are not on the order. This is already being done for certain Customer master fields but not for any Contact/Shipto fields.

Or maybe there's another solution I am missing?
