If you want to export the Detail Listing report from Ledger to Excel, the Description field cannot be part of the sort, because that makes the index too long. Thus the reason for the error about excluding the Description. It doesn't have to do with the location of the data and the length of the directory names.

The solution is to change the Description in the sort to Reference.
