Hi Nick,

This text is in the 'Important Notes' section of the Readme file for the Adagio Inventory 8.0A upgrade, and the release notes:

quote:
Even though you may have been using Adagio Inventory for some time, if your inventory database was originally created with ACCPAC Plus Inventory Control 6.1B or earlier, it must be converted for compatibility with Adagio Inventory 8.0A. If this is the case, you will receive a warning message when you open your database with Adagio Inventory 8.0A. For details see Considerations for ACCPAC Plus Users.

Here is pertinant text from the 'Considerations for ACCPAC Plus Users section:

quote:
Earlier versions of Adagio Inventory were compatible with ACCPAC Plus Inventory Control 6.1B. Adagio Inventory 8.0A is not compatible with ACCPAC Plus Inventory Control 6.1B. However, Adagio Inventory will convert an ACCPAC Plus Inventory Control 6.1B database to a compatible format. After conversion, you will no longer be able to use ACCPAC Plus Inventory Control 6.1B on the database.

If you have purchases orders created in an ACCPAC Plus IC 6.1B database, you will no longer be able to access them after conversion. Therefore, all purchase orders must be completed and deleted in ACCPAC Plus IC 6.1B, before you convert.

The main issue has to do with the Enter Receipts function, which differs between the 'Plus versions' 6.1B and 6.5A. Using Order Entry or other applications that access Inventory Items is supposed to remain un-affected as the master item database structure is unchanged.

Adagio 8.0A is database compatible with Accpac Plus 6.5A.
