I was in edit, and in trying to get a screenshot to show you exactly where I was. I dragged the view statement group box onto my primary monitor - and it worked, I could tick boxes no problem. I drag it back to monitor #2, and it doesn't work. Don't know what that means, but it's working. Maybe this will help someone else.
