There is no "multiple companies" in an Adagio GL database. Each company is in a completely separate database.

I suppose someone could setup a GL where the Departments were considered as a "company" but I don't think anyone would suggest that approach.

The [Company #] field in the G/L Company Profile was provided so a accountant could enter a 6 character identifier for there internal use that would tie this GL dataset to their internal record keeping.
