Mike and I looked at it together. It would be possible to subgroup the posting sequences by batch number and therefore display the batch description. The GL Posting Journal report is grouped by Post Seq# and subgrouped by batch#, though it is admittedly a simpler layout.

The GL Posting Journal report, though subgrouped by batch, doesn't display the batch description. That would be a simple and useful addition to that report.
