The current release of Adagio Receivables (V6.8A) supports e-mailing of statements to a single customer using the method you've found. Batch e-mailing is not available yet (it requires changes to information saved for a customer - such as an e-mail address and statement delivery method).

As an aside, as the person partly responsible for maintaining e-mail addresses for Softrak, people change their e-mail addresses more frequently than their clothes (and way more frequently than their fax numbers). It may well create more work in keeping the e-mails up to date than it costs in telephone charges.
