The problem likely is that a system file used for locating the tables is either incomplete or cannot be found. This is especially pertinent with Windows 2000 or XP because different system files could be found based on the user you log into the machine as.

Quik Reports for Windows is a 16-bit application. It stores some configuration information in a file called CRW.INI in the C:\windows\system32 directory (for Win2000/XP). It is an editable text file that must be there for Quik Reports for Windows to work.

When you installed QRW to the machine, you were probably asked for the 'Report tables drive', which in turn updates the above CRW.INI file. If this file wasn't updated correctly, that would explain your message. There are 2 ways to fix this. Make sure you are logged into the machine as the user, not Admin:

1) Create a new report from scratch. You don't actually have to create a new report, but this process will take you to the screen you have to get at. Choose accpac.ssi as the Database selector as usual. When you get to the screen where you select the Company and Program, click the Edit Company button. On the screen that appears, you will see at the top a field called 'Accpac path', which may be blank (as specified by the error you are getting). Select your correct drive where Accpac is located and save.

2) Edit the CRW.INI file and look for a section called [Accpac.DLLInfo]. Underneath this is a line called 'Accpac Path' and a value which should be the drive where Accpac is. I bet it's blank. Enter the correct location and save the change.

Please note that installation should be done as the user of the machine and not the admin person. If you log in as Admin to install, then log in as the user, all of the required system files may not be accessible by the user, due to rights.
