Hi Cheryl,
OK, so to confirm the steps that are failing in both your data and also sample data:
- You open Maintain Financial Reports from Adagio Ledger, and the Maintenance menu.
- From the View menu, you pick Statement Groups.
- From a particular statement group, you click the plus button to reveal the individual statements within the group.
- You right-click on a specific statement and choose 'Edit Item' to see the selection and printing options.
- The problem is that you cannot change any of the checkboxes for selecting departments or tabs to print, and presumably the other options at the bottom right.
If this is what's happening, I cannot replicate that exact behaviour, especially when signed in with the SYS user. I am using Adagio Ledger 9.0D, and the Financial reporter version is 2.1.1.1863 (Help / About Financial Reporter).
- If the statement group is set to be accessible to only specific users (SYS can define this with the Allow Users process on any statement group), then a non-SYS user that has not be granted access can see the statement groups but not edit them.
- If the user has been set with Departmental Restrictions (as Andrew indicated), then the non-SYS user can only see Statement Groups to which they have been specifically granted access, and when editing a statement option only their allowed departments are visible. These users can create new statement groups now (it used to be that only SYS could create statement groups, but this restriction has since been lifted).
- Any user can select a Statement group from the File / Print Statement Groups screen, but if they are not allowed to print it, the group will be skipped. Users with Departmental restrictions will only see the groups assigned to the user.
- For me, SYS cannot be disallowed from editing any statement group report, nor can SYS be restricted from any departments.
If SYS shows a problem for you and sample data, you probably should take up Andrew's offer. It may be that the GLRPTGRP data file (that contains the statement group settings) has become corrupted, and looking at the data off-site could isolate this. Or something has not installed or updated successfully at your site, and the data is completely clean, but an incomplete program installation is preventing the access to statement groups that you used to have.
