Hello dogcomputer!
Perhaps the following information would assist you in determining if Sales Analysis will give you the information you want from your data.
Sales Analysis provides limited support for multi-currency databases, however all information pertinent to multi-currency transactions is retrieved and maintained.
Some screens in Sales Analysis always display currency fields with 2 decimal places.
Reports supply only one format at a time for currency fields. Thus, while you can have a report for Japanese customers with currencies formatted for yen (no decimal places), you cannot show both dollars (2 decimal places) and yen (no decimal places) on the same report. This will not be a problem if all foreign currencies you use have 2 decimal places.
In a multi-currency Sales Analysis database, these fields will always be in HOME currency:
-Amount
-Base Price
-Cost
-Margin % (calculated from home currencies)
-Profit
These fields will be in SOURCE currency for sales in foreign currencies and in HOME currency for domestic sales:
-Discount % (calculated from source currency figures)
-Source Amount
-Source Base Price
-Std, Unit $$ unit base price
-Unit Price
For multi-currency Sales Analysis databases, these additional fields are accessible from Quik Reports and Report Master:
-Cost Converted to Source Currency)
-Date Matching Method
-Home Currency Code
-# of Decimals in Source Currency
-Rate
-Rate Date
-Rate Representation
-Rate Type
If you find SA too limiting, Quik Reports for Windows and Crystal Reports 8.5 for Adagio can also be used to report on ACCPAC Plus multi-currency databases. These products provide a more flexible system to report on any ACCPAC Plus applications that install report tables for QRWIN.
Hope this helps!
