A client request was to change the behaviour of the Excel direct process on the Online Inquiry drill-down screen, to send only the displayed transactions to Excel, rather than all of them. This was implemented in Sales Analysis 9.0A.

As it turns out, this request is the opposite of how you would like to have Excel Direct work for Online Inquiry details.

For the time being, you could use Transaction Filters (a new feature of SalesAnalysis 9.0A), to select all the details you want, and load this filter in the Edit Data function. There is an Excel Direct button that will export all details that meets your criteria, similar to using Online Inquiry but not identically so.
