Decide what account number is appropriate for the account you are trying to add. If you are adding a department for an already created account, then all you need to do is add the account-department to your chart and your work is likely complete.

If you are truly adding a new account, then, after adding the account to your chart, you should print out the statements where you expect it to appear after posting an entry to it. If the account is contained within one of the ranges on your financial statements, then you'll find that it is automatically included in your statements. If it doesn't show up, then you're going to need to edit your financial statement and add the account number to the appropriate section. There are webinars on our site that describe all of these steps, but you might find it faster to have an experienced Adagio consultant do this for you while you watch (especially if this is a frequent occurrance).
