Hello Edward
Sorry for the delay in responding - we were researching this here before getting back to you.
We can duplicate this here and R&D will be fixing this for the next release of Adagio OrderEntry.
For now, to workaround this, ensure that at least 1 item on any Order has a B/O quantity or if the Order has a Miscellaneous Charge, this will not be a problem either.
To enforce this, you can have your Client enable the option for Calculate Backorder quantity so this will occur automatically. Even if they do not use Backorders - this should cause no inconvenience.
When they go to print a Picking Slip, they do not have to show B/O Qty on the form (you can edit the specification in Designer).
When the picking slip returns to order entry clerk with actual quantity shipped, they would enter BO qty 0 at the same time the Qty Shipped is updated. (This must be what other companies do who operate in a similar fashion and would explain why perhaps this is the first time this has been brought to our attention.
Thank you for reporting the problem and for your patience in it's fix to be released!
Regards
