I suspect that you are referring to the Ledger 'Detail Listing' report.

You may want to check your sub-ledger applications (AP, AR, etc) to see what information is selected to send to the GL description. This is typically set on the Integration tab of the respective Company Profiles. If you have a setting that contains a blank field, that would explain this.

As Steve mentioned, we'd need more information as what you are seeing, and also if the probem exists for all details or just some of them (ie AP detail descriptions are blank, but GL journal entry details are not, etc).
