The problem with using SalesCQ in the manner you suggest is that you then can't import the order into PO (you have to manually rekey the item details, duplicating the work).

I think Susan's request makes a great wish list item. When adding items to an order allow an option to flag it to have the price updated automatically when the item is shipped.
