Yes - that would be nice. And if that was available we'd do it in a heartbeat.

As an aside, I'm running twin Samsung 26 inch displays with a native resolution of 1920x1080 driven by an ATI Radeon HD 5700 video card. When I move the resolution down to 1280x720 the text is so large I can almost read it from across the room. Yes - it's not as "crisp" as the native resolution, but much of this is controlled by the video driver and choosing an appropriate display size. You should make sure that the lower resolution has the same aspect ratio as the native resolution of the monitor, otherwise the pixels are not stretched equally and a fuzzier display results.
