It's also possible your GLATREE.xxx (where 'xxx' is your 3-character data extension) is corrupt.

To test, close out of Ledger (everyone) then drill down to the data folder exhibiting the problem and rename this file. Reopen Ledger and the Financial Reporter. Select to View | Chart of Accounts again.

Does that resolve the problem?
