I would like to explore the pros and cons of adding a new location to our inventory module. We are purchasing a very similar company, and will require a physical inventory worksheet to work from to count inventory for this purchase. Once we have counted and reconciled, I would like to be able to stock transfer all the items into our current location, and make the new location disappear.

Is this a viable thing to do? Or is there a better way to do this? I had considered setting up a dummy data set, but would it be easier to do it as a simple additional location set up? This would only work if we can then make the location disappear once it is empty.

What are my options, and consequences thereof?
