Can you tell me how the security groups work between modules? For example, we have various security groups defined in GL which have been assigned to various users. We did not have any security groups previously defined in Bank Rec module however all users were able to access BR and it seemed that the users all had different access rights. I then created one security group in BR to restrict one user's access but this resulted in all the other users being unable to access BR until additional security groups were created for those users.

Does a subledger module read from the GL security group setup if there are no security groups defined within the subledger itself? If so, does that mean that if a security group is then defined in the subledger, that all other users are unable to access the subledger until they too are assigned to a specific security group within that subledger? It seems that if there are no security groups set up in subledger that it then reads from security groups in GL, but if there is even just one security group in subledger, all users must then be assigned to security groups within that subledger and nothing is read from ledger. Is this correct?

Thanks,
Tanja
