Try creating 2 IDENTICAL reports, one for Current Transactions and one for Historical Transactions.

Each report will have a Read Back table but they will both update the same Read Back datafile. Both reports should be set to append data.

When you make the 2nd report a Read Back report, the previously created Read Back datafile will be overwritten. This is fine. When a report becomes a Read Back report, a template for the data is created.

After you have completed the update for the second Read Back report, go back to the first report and update the Read Back data again. This time, the data from the first report will be appended to the data from the second report.
