Hi Fong,

Indeed if an item has been deleted and it still exists on an active Receipt, this will cause an integrity error. To make the error go away, you have to either remove the receipt detail or add the item number back. And of course, adding back the item is likely not the desired solution.

As long as the Receipt is complete, then you can remove the receipt. Day End Processing in Inventory will offer to delete all completed receipts that are older than (30) days. If a Receipt is still 'Active' rather than 'Complete' and has a non-blank invoice number, then Day End will mark the receipt as Complete, and in (30) days it can be deleted.

Of course, it is also safe to delete a receipt if you know it is OK to do so. The only danger is if you delete an Active Receipt that has not been transferred to Payables. Receipts need an invoice number in order for Day End to send the receipt to Payables as an Invoice.

Make a backup copy of your data before doing any of this, in case you delete something that you actually still need.
