Let's try this again:

I think I understand where things are set-up in QI - tax rates, groups, etc. AR only holds the assignment of the tax groups to the customers.

The "new" tax group was set-up in QI correctly.

My understanding, and also what you wrote earlier, is that QI "reads" the tax group information that is assigned to the customer in AR - Yes or No?

Based on this then the when an AR customer is assigned a "new" tax group QI should "read" this information for calculating the tax charges.

However, this does not appear to be what is happening as the "new" tax group is not being read by QI when inputting a new QI invoice.
