Dear Nathan
Adagio's requirements on a conventional Dedicated network environment are:
1. That it be installed onto the Server. If installing onto the Server from one of the clients, then you will save a step.
2. That on each client needing to use Adagio, a "Workstation setup" be performed, using the instructions in the Adagio Fundamentals Guide. If you installed Adagio to the Server from one of the Clients, then you do not have to peform this step on that client. (Thus the saving of a step mentioned above.) This step installs files onto the client's local hard drive necessary to print reports from each client to the printer (and requires the presence of a C:\Windows directory on those clients PC's - or a "virtual" representation of such).
3. The LP5 must be installed onto the Server only, but apart from that the installation method is the same as for the main Adagio modules.
There are no known issues running Adagio with W2K Server and Millenium clients, however, if Millenium is a 32-bit OS (I am not familiar with it's properties in this respect), then these stations will not be able to fax using Receivables, as it is the only 16-bit module in the Quartet. Ledger, Payables and Invoices are all 32-bit now, so that should not be a problem.
Adagio has been tested and is compatible with Win95,98,NT & 2000. Any other O/S is not certified.
I cannot comment on TCP/IP only. My understanding is this is for Internet, rather than LAN, but I could be wrong. Adagio was designed for use in conventional or Peer to Peer network environments - any other setups have not been tested. More information would be helpful in this respect.
