Copy of an e-mail I received from a user:

"Hi Andre,

I think others have made you aware of this issue - but I thought I would
make mention of it.

When searching for PO's for a customer - it really is important to be
able to search by PO # or reference - it takes too much time to search
through dozens and dozens of orders to find exactly what you're looking for.

Is this something that can be resolved soon. Or am I missing something,
and we are able to search that way? My understanding is we can only
search by reference if it has been invoiced.

Thanks
Amber"

I looked and I think she's correct. In ACCPAC O/E, one can select the Reference field and find an order or invoice in our system. A lot of customers call us and give us THEIR purchase order number (which makes sense because that's how they keep track of their orders). Not a problem with ACCPAC Plus - we simply hit 'F6', select the Reference field, enter the customer's reference number and - bang - we have found their order in our system.
Not so with Adagio... There are only a handful of fields one can search by and the field we're looking for is, of course, not among them.;-)
I would think this to be a fairly big deal. Is it possible to add that field to the 'search by' list?
I mean, I couldn't care less about finding a customer based on the 'Total Order Value'. I need to find the order first. No customer is going to call me to tell me he/she had placed an order with us in the amount of $12, 456.78 and wants to find out about the status of the order. They will, however, give us their PO number and expect us to find their order in our system.

How do other customers cross reference a customer's order number with theirs? Are we the first and only Adagio users to have encountered this problem?

Cheers,

Andre
