Hi
I was doing a January 2020 month end. long story short - I goofed.
my current payables didn't get posted into the G/L.They are in history now. Is there anyway to get them back to current so I can post to the G/L?
I have payables 8.1F (yes I know it's old - but that is another story)
thanks
KG

Do you have a backup prior to the month end?

The first problem is the fact that running Period End or Year End to move transactions to history should not have deleted any pending Ledger transactions waiting to be retrieved, but then Payables 8.1F is over a decade old so maybe I'm not recalling that versions idiosyncrasies correctly.

There definitely isn't any process to move transactions from History to Current, recreating the Ledger transactions in the process.

An Adagio Consultant would be able to help you recover any lost transactions from a backup without losing the current data.

Thanks for the help - I did call a consultant who helped us before. He restored the backup and that part is all good now.

And now, because I am an idiot, when doing year end, i started the batch numbers back at 1 - only problem is that i did it yesterday (Feb 25 2020)
is this going to mess up anything because our fiscal year is jan - dec.
our fiscal calendar still says jan to dec - but is the program going to calculate fiscal year from jan 2019 - feb 25 2020?
or is it just going to affect YTD totals for customers and vendors?
thank you
KG

Though it may look a little strange that batch 1 started late February, this will not cause any harm.

The Fiscal Year End date will not change regardless of when you run Yea End.

If you are on current versions of Adagio and assuming you haven't purged recent history, then the "Calculate as of" option will give you the correct balance back dated to your actual Fiscal Year End date. YTD totals come from the Transaction reports which allows you to set the date range.
