Hi,

Where can I find the documentation (legends) of the Automatic Styles where it will tell what the color means or why it was applied.

Hi Marlon,

These are user-defined settings, in Edit Filters. Each company can define their own settings in the Filters.

I did not customize any styles. Is there any documents that will tell me what is the meaning of the colors for the automatic styles?

For instance, in Order Entry, I don't have any filter on, no style settings is change, but the grid shows me Text with Font Bold Blue, or the line record is highlighted either yellow or pink. What does those mean?

Hi Marlon,

Thank you for the additional information that you are looking at OrderEntry.

By default, a few Filters are automatically created for Current and Historical Transactions, even if you have never opened the Filters function before. These control the 'Header' level transactions like Orders and Invoices. If you are referring to these, take a look at Edit / Document Filters and Edit / History Filters.

In OrderEntry 9.3A, colors were supported on transaction Details. If it is this grid you are looking at, then color would either come from the Detail Type (Misc Charge, Comment, Instruction, etc) or if it is for an Item, then the Automatic Filter Style from the IC Item would be used. Likely the item in IC has a 'Font Bold Blue' format from an Item Filter defined there.

OE Item Details might also have a yellow color applied if it was fully shipped and marked Complete, with an 'Automatic Style Code of 'OE Det Complete'.

There is nowhere to customize the OE Details colors, apart from Filters on the Item Master records in Inventory.

Hi, Marlon,

Check the Help (F1 in a field or click the Help button on a program window). There's Help for things like File | Styles (that grid will show you all of the styles available for that data set). There's Help for the Edit Filters window. And, also for the Manual and Automatic style fields in the master record (eg. customer record or OE document header.

On the grids, you'll also find Help for the Refresh scan, Set style color and Ignore style color buttons.

In File | uUer Preferences, General tab, there's help for the Grids and Finders fields.

Is it safe to say that whatever is in the Edit, Document Filters, Public are the ones that is applied as automatic styles even if you don't apply the filter in the grid? (Order Entry Grid)

Yes. Whichever filter has the highest priority (meaning the Style Priority with the lowest number - priority 1 is the highest priority, 99 is the least).
