Hi! I changed the printer in the Financial Reporter and I changed it in my Workstation Options and when I run financial reports it still chooses my windows default printer...
Is there anything that I can do to fix this?

Hi Hugh,

The Financial Reporter does not use the settings in the Workstation Options area for printing. In fact, printers are saved with the individual statements.

I tried with Adagio Ledger 9.3A and Financial Reporter version 2.1.7.2519, and was able to successfully change the printer driver from within the Financial Reporter and the File / Print Setup area and print a statement to that printer, not my Windows default printer.

This is something you may want to go over with your Adagio consultant, depending on how you are choosing to print statements - there are many ways to print these.

hmmm... GL 9.3A and Financial Reporter 2.1.7.2483... so pretty current... and if I print the statements from the financial reporter the do show up on the correct printer. the problem only exists when I use reports>print financial statements option in the GL... when it ignores both the printer selection in the Financial Reporter as well as the workstation printer and goes to my windows default printer... Is that what you were doing? or were you just printing from within the reporter...

If you print financial reports from a statement group (Reports | Print Financial Statements), the stored printer is ignored and the windows default printer is used instead.

Maybe Softrak could look into fixing this. Thanks.

In the mean time, you can print your statement group using a Report Set, to the printer of your choice. And to PDF if you use Adagio ePrint.
