Hi experts,

My financial reporter doesn't expand the SmartSheet if I try to generate report for multiple departments using "?00" (to include departments 100, 200, so forth).

It only displays the total for the accounts in the ".Range" range.

Thanks,
Prabodh

Hi Prabodh,

Which program (Adagio Ledger or FX) and version are you using?

Are you printing your financial statement via statement groups? Or are you working with a particular statement file and attempting to expand it manually for the purpose of printing?

Is your department mask ?00 being selected from the toolbar, or is it directly typed into the account key in column B?

Do you have .Range in column A of that row? That would suppress Expanding to individual accounts, but would do so for any selected department, not just the ?00 masked department. I presume you do, based on your comments.

With the current shipping release of Ledger 9.2B, I am able to expand SmartSheets where the department mask ?00 is selected from the toolbar. One row per account.

For this, you'll probably need to get your Adagio consultant involved, to look at the statement file to see if there is anything missing or unexpected.

Hi Support team,

Thanks for the response.

I am using the 9.2B version. I generate these reports on monthly cycles and the first time I noticed this issue was in mid June. The templates worked well in the previous months.

Yes, I am using Statement Groups. I generate PDF reports using Report Set with [x] Expand SmartSheet on the 'Edit Report Item' dialogue box. Also tried the "Expand SmartSheet" button manually - it works if I select a single division (100 or 200). But it doesn't for multiple (?00).

Department mask is being selected from the toolbar. For the Statement Groups, it's selected from the 'Edit Report Item' box. Column B has the GL numbers.

Yes, I do have .Range in column A. Yes, it's suppressing the detail when I select "Collapse SmartSheet" manually but not expanding property ONLY if multiple departments are selected.

Regards,
Prabodh

Hi Prabodh,

If you access the View Departments window within the Financial Reporter, you can edit existing Department Masks. If there are any leading spaces in front of the department mask code, this appears to prohibit the .Range expansion of a selected department mask from the toolbar.

If you delete the leading space(s) and save the change, this will allow expanding the SmartSheet to work, and this has no effect at all on the correctness of the expanded results.
