serial number fields, will it be possible to use barcode scanner as an interface to
speed up the process. My client is keen only to capture the serial numbers in
the invoice for his distributor business. By the way I notice that I am unable to
capture them in the order before invoicing so that we can check the order quantity
agrees to the number of serial numbers. Is there a selection in the company profile
that will enable us to do so. I have done this with Accpac Dos.

Yes, you can use a barcode scanner rather than typing. If the serial number field is ready for input in OE and your user has the barcode in front of them, then they can scan it with a reader and it will be just as if they typed the serial number.

You should be able to enter Serial numbers on an Order. Make certain the Company Profile option "Quantity shipped on orders" has a check-mark.

The following options in the profile are selected.
Qty shipped on orders
Default shipping as ordered
Default posting to order

Very satisfactory and will be demonstrating Adagio to the new customer.
It will be great that a count register is available to verify that
the number of serial numbers agree with quantity ordered.

If you need to Track Serial Numbers rather than just enter them in Order Entry, SerialTracker can associate items with serial numbers and attach them to the Order Entry Order or Invoice.
