Hi All,

First time posting!

Is it possible in the financial reporter to create a department range without including some of the departments?

For example, I have departments 20 - 27 but only want a range excluding department 21.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!

Scott

Hi Scott

Department ranges must be contiguous. You can also use masks, such as ?2 for departments 12, 22, 32, 42, etc. A mask won't work in your scenario.

It's possible to do what you want but it has to be hard-coded into the statement spec, and is more complicated to explain. If you want an explanation, let me know.

Steve

Using RNGMERGE you can specify the departments you want on a cell as you do with the accounts such as:
B8 = '20,22,27

E20=GLAMT(E$9,RNGMERGE($B20,STRCAT("-",$B$8)))
