I believe our company has Crystal Reports to use alongside Adagio for ERP/MRP.

My question is about multi level BOM's and how they are handled by each software.

The problem I am seeing is that the "system" is not seing requirements for BOM's that are three levels. (A kit that looks for a complete part which calls for a manufactured part that has all the raw material components in it)

Multi-level bill of materials (BOM) are not supported by the current versions of Adagio.

Off of the top of my head I think it may be possible to create a multi-level BOM using Crystal Reports. An overview of how this would work is to have the BOM components list as a sub-report. If the Crystal Report includes a master item (BOM) then the sub-report would be called to list the component items.

JobTracker could be used as a multi-level Bill of Materials. Jobs can consist of parts and labour that can be manufactured to one or more inventory items. An Object can be defined containing multiple jobs(Kits) and the Object can be manufactured to one or more inventory items. Template jobs can be defined for use as a Kit that can be modified prior to or after a job is created from the template.

It is possible to create multi-level BOM reporting using Crystal Reports.

We created multi-level BOM report(s) that integrate with Inventory, Purchase orders, and basically told the users what to buy or build based upon demand created in Order Entry.

The report was customized for our client(s), but we can consider modifying. It was expensive, and still is. If Doug cannot provide you with your report, then please contact us.
