Good day,

I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I'm having:

I am trying to change the default print settings for the picking slip (invoice to possibly) to sort by Location/Item Number.

There used to be an options I believe that was "Remember Form Settings" located in the company profile that would allow this to be done but unfortunately I can't find it now.

So I'll explain basically what I'm trying to do in case there is a work around as well:

Since we do not have a picking order(things are moving around quite frequently), it makes the most logical sense to sort by item number as this will allow the people pick the orders in like areas at the same time.

Also if there is no way to do this currently I would appreciate if you could let me know this as well.

Thanks in advance for all your help

Hi, Jenny,

Look in File | User Preferences on the General tab. You'll find it there. With our newer modules we've made a number of settings available here to be defined for the logged in user when working with the particular module or application. (Note that the Implied Decimal option is a 'global' option that will affect all modules for this user.)

Thank You,

That is exactly what I'm looking.

Is there a way that I can remotely access other User's Preferences. Since most of the people that need this setting toggled are unable to access their own User Preferences(Belong to a group with very limited permissions).

It will be quite a hassle (but doable if it is the only way) to make each user a higher permission then change there preferences then lower permissions again.

Thanks again

Hello Jenny,

If the SYS user sets the preferences, and there are no preferences for a user, then the SYS preferences will be used.

Having said that, we cannot think of a reason to deny any user access to their User Preferences menu choice, and have made sure that only "preference" type settings are stored and changed there.

Jenny:
If you are logged into Adagio as SYS, you will see a "Set All Users" button on the "User Preferences" screen. That will take whatever settings you choose and make them the default settings for all users.
