Is there any way to restore only GL from our nightly backup? The database was not backed up through the program but externally. I need to restore the GL to last night's point but want to make sure the outstanding and yet to be retrieved batches for 21st Century payroll, BR and AP for the company (which I retrieved just prior to clearing the batch status report in error) are included in the restore. Please help!

Hi Debi

The files you want to restore are those that begin with GL and have your three letter data extension (the default is DAT) and are located in your company's data folder. Make sure to move the old GL*.xxx files out of the way first.

If you retrieved the subledger batches subsequent to making the backup, then your restored GL data will not contain the PR, BR and AP activity. The best way to get that data is to export it from your existing data and import it into the restored data.

This is normally an exercise for an experienced Adagio user. If you are not one, you should have your Adagio consultant do this. We exist for things like this.
