Is there an easy way to move a budget to forecast? by month instead of by account?

eg. I would want to only adjust the budget totals on the months moving forward.

Another thing? is there an easy way to take my Budget report and change all formulas from Budget to forecast?

Hi Esther,

In Ledger 9.0B (just released), you can copy budgets to forecasts and vice versa in the edit budgets (forecasts) function. Multi-select the accounts you want to copy. Why would you not want to move all the buckets?

To change a budget comparative to use the Forecast buckets instead, change "B" to "F" in the specification code (this may be on a .ColSpec line or embedded in a formula).

Make sense?

If they are imbedded in the formula rather than in a .ColSpec row you can use Edit | Replace and then replace .B with .F

The reports were built before Version 9

I have decided to copy the budget reports, then use the find and replace .B with .F ... this will work.

Silly me... I had tried the B to F and then the col B was changed to col F
