We have a particular item with many different flavours. There each flavour is set as a different item. The item is set to give a discount of an amount depending on quantity purchased. What has been happening is, some customers meet the quantity requirement by purchasing different flavours, but not the requirement for any one particular flavour.

What we have is an override of the price to give this customer the quantity discounted price.

How can we work around this by giving this customer the discounted price.

I have thought of doing a price list.

P.S. It is not specific to any particular customer or order.

Softrak tech support will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is a way to have the system automatically discount an item's price based on the quantity sold of a group of items. That is the kind of thing that software which costs 10 times as much as Adagio can do.

Steve is correct. 'Automatic' quantity discounts are for one item detail at a time, not for groups of items.

If there was a known discount percent/amount to apply to the order as a whole, you could apply it on the Totals screen. But this is not automatic and would have to be calculated and entered manually.

QuickBooks can do it. By adding a subtotal and then a discount item which calculates on the subtotal.

That's not automatic.
