We get requests on a regular basis for a database of products that include fields that the customer will use to make a dynamic product webpage. We have done the work a few times in Excel, but I would prefer to put this data into our IC database so it's easy to generate on the fly.
Some data is standard in IC anyway. Some data would lend itself to the optional fields in Adagio IC, but they are limited in the number you can have.
Requested data fields could be something like the following:
Product Name
Product Alternate Name
Brand Name
Model Number
Product Description (as in catalog description)
Product Feature 1 (2, 3, 4, 5 etc)
Minimum Advertised Price
Dimensions
Can product be shipped as is or not
Warranty
I could go on and on, but you hopefully get the idea.
The major product description could be placed in the additional comments field of Adagio, and I wondered how well it would work to use the Adagio notes feature - despite no category - for other data. I could use a set date or time or combination of those for category (love work-arounds).
I was wondering if other Adagio users faced the same problem and how they went about solving it.
Thanks,
Robert
