We are getting an error message suggesting that "all the Adagio Lanpak licenses (5) are already in use" and the application cannot be started, even though our use is not that heavy.

We purchased 15 Lanpak licenses, a 5 pack and a 10. Is it possible the 10 is not installed or something?

Thanks
Jody Fitt

Hi Jody,

It's possible.

Go into your most recently installed Adagio module and select Help | About. It will tell you the number of Lanpak licenses you have installed.

It says: Licensed users, 2 of 5 in use.

Because it says 'x of 5' instead of 'x of 15', this indicates that the 10-pack is not installed (correctly).

You can try running your CHKSYS.EXE utility from the \softrak\system directory. If you have a very recent version of an Adagio program (such as Ledger 9.0A), you will see a button called 'Check Lanpak Status' that will tell you how many Lanpaks you have installed and what versions. It could be that you have installed the latest 5-pack but not updated the 10-pack.

"It could be that you have installed the latest 5-pack but not updated the 10-pack."

We purchased Adagio (15 lanpaks included) and had it installed in November 07, so I am not sure what you mean.

Hi Jody,

There was an upgrade to Adagio Lanpaks around that time (for edger V9.0A.

Is it possible that only the upgrade to the 5-user one was installed?

We have not made any upgrades to the original installation that I know of (we need to do the Ledger 9.0A)

We purchased the 15 lanpaks, assumed they were installed, but seem to be running only 5.

What do you suggest?

Hello Jody:

I would suggest that you contact the firm that installed your Adagio software.

Apparently something went wrong in November. Since you paid for 15 users and apparently paid someone to install the software, that firm is obliged to solve the issue for you. It was likely a simple matter of missing a step during the installation in November.
