Is there way to track specific item numbers on credit notes? In Transaction History I'm able to see if an item has be returned to stock due to a credit note but I'd like to be able to monitor all credit notes by item number. We use a code entered in to the description line that tells us why the item is being credited. I would like to be able to track repeatedly damaged items or monitor if items are being returned to stock correctly as this greatly affects our physical inventory numbers. Thanks in advance.

Do you use Adagio OrderEntry or Invoices to enter credit notes? Do you also use Adagio SalesAnalysis?

Because transaction descriptions are not stored in Inventory Transaction History, that wouldn't be the place to do inquiries on credit notes by item, if that description is important. You would be able to do this by creating your inquiry on the source of the credit note data. In the case of SalesAnalysis, an additional setu pstep to bring in the Transaction Description rather than the Item Description would be needed.

How are you doing (or would like to do) this inquiry? From Excel, or a report, or another way? This sort of thing could be done from the OrderEntry History and the Items tab (selecting Credit Notes only for a date range) and either view form the grid or Export to Excel. A similar lookup from SalesAnalysis can be done. Or use Adagio GridView to create a customized inquiry with just the information you need.

Order Entry History and the Items Tab......why on earth didn't I think of it? I've used this many times but not at all for credit notes, just orders. It's EXACTLY what I was looking for, thanks so much!!
