Is the period open in last year's fiscal calendar?
You should print a batch listing and see what the error is in the batch. It will be flagged in the listing.
If this wasn't working properly, we'd be deluged with posts on the forum. There's something in the settings or choices made in the process that is preventing this from working for you.
Sometimes the best way of uncovering the problem is to carefully explain to someone why the process cannot possibly be doing what it's doing. In my experience, it's helpful if the person you are explaining to has no clue about what you are talking about!
Running through the process with your Adagio consultant will probably uncover the problem pretty quickly too.
